Phantogram performed the shit out of their new album. I love it when you've been rocking out to a c.d. and then you finally get to hear the music live it is 50x better than the recorded version. Now that is a great band, and these guys surely did that. The sound from just three musicians : insane drummer, guitarist/male vocalist, keyboards/sound machine/female vocalist (she was incredible), was huge. It could have been the new sound system they put in downstairs at the Brew, but I'm not even sure if they have a new sound system set-up. I think it was all purely the band. Such ambiance, such togetherness and in-sync for indie noise music. The sound covered and surrounded my body in such a great way.
so fun!!! so good!!!
and big ups to Dan who gave the singer,(the female one), a boquet of roses. She handled it with class and gave a genuine smile and wave at the end of the show. No hugs tho, bummer for Dan's boner. next-time buddy.
I only captured one picture (and it's a shitty one) because I was so entranced by the music and fun times.
